Stabiliteitstests zorgen ervoor dat uw product voldoet aan de beoogde fysische, chemische en microbiologische normen bij hantering, transport en opslag onder normale en redelijkerwijs te voorziene omstandigheden, vanaf de productie tot het einde van de geldigheid. De test bepaalt de minimale houdbaarheid van het product en/of de periode na opening (PAO). Omdat de verpakking invloed kan hebben op het eindproduct — bijvoorbeeld doordat stoffen uit de verpakking in de formule uitlogen — wordt ook de compatibiliteit tussen de formule en de primaire verpakking gecontroleerd.
