Stability tests ensure your product meets its intended physical, chemical and microbiological standards when handled, transported and stored under normal and reasonably foreseeable conditions, from manufacture until the end of its validity. The test determines the minimum durability of the product and/or its period after opening (PAO). As packaging can affect the finished product — for example through leaching of packaging substances into the formulation — the compatibility between the formulation and its primary packaging is also checked.
